Our Story
We’d like to believe that the universe puts you exactly where you need to be, exactly when you need to be there.
Call it fate, destiny, serendipity, or whatever you want, but whatever you call it, that’s how our story began - in a place where many love stories begin but few survive - Las Vegas, Nevada.
A dinner set up by a mutual friend at an Italian restaurant inside the MGM Grand Casino brought us together for the first time. After a round of fireball, Kendall did the impossible and rendered Jon speechless with a single line - “I’m not usually this forward, but you’re really handsome."
From then on, nothing would be the same, but that didn’t mean it would be easy. Kendall would leave Vegas for Minneapolis and Jon would return to Phoenix, and while we didn’t know when we would be together again, we knew where our journey would take us - Seattle.
1300 miles separated us for the better part of 7 months while we laid our plans to land in the PNW, but despite the challenges, we knew what we had was worth every second of being apart.
When we finally made it to Seattle together, it was as if the distance had never been there. Our lives came together seamlessly - like two perfect puzzle pieces finding their match.
Just 10 months from meeting we took a trip to a place that we had no idea would end up being so significant for us and our story - Maui.
A week on the island was all we needed to know that this was the place we wanted to spend our most special day alongside the people we love the most. Six months later, Jon proposed to Kendall and the plans were set.
We feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing people in our lives, and we could not be more excited to tie the knot in our favorite place with all of you in attendance.
